Graduation Speeches
Gabriela's Speech
When I was young, I had many wishes,
And these three I treasure most.
I remember wishing I could be really, really smart.
Trinity has educated me and given me the support
I will need to fulfill that dream.
I remember wishing I could do everything.
I have now learned that I cannot do everything,
But Trinity has helped me realize
My talents and to do my best in anything I try.
I remember wishing that I could fly…
Okay, Trinity’s great, but I still can’t fly.
I guess I’ll have to keep working on that.
One thing that actually has flown by were my years at Trinity,
And I would really like to thank all of my teachers
And staff for making my dreams a reality.
Two teachers I’d like to thank are loving and kind.
Let me tell you such people are both hard to find.
In third grade we wrote books, and I was way behind,
Ms. Chitre helped me type it so I wouldn’t lose my mind.
Ms. Castañeda helped us all throughout the year of fourth grade,
But even my pre-school memories with her will never fade.
All of these experiences have made us who we are
And of the things important to us, Trinity stands out by far.
Thanks to all my teachers and staff and all my friends,
We’ll miss each other, that’s for sure, but friendship never ends.
As I look into the future, I know deep in my heart,
That everything I learned at Trinity has given me a wonderful start.
Matthew's Speech
My name is Matthew.
I have been a Trinity student for seven years.I learned…
About the life of Alexander Graham Bell,
How to add fractions with different denominators,
How to make an electrical circuit,
And what happens to Mealworms when they sit in the sun too long.
I played…
Basketball, Football,
Capture the Flag, and
“Hot Lava Monster.”
I ate…
Pizza with toppings that we grew in our garden,
Homemade tortillas with Mrs. Roybal,
A picnic lunch with our pen pals,
And a birthday cake with a toy baby inside.
I dressed up as…
A black Ninja,
A hula dancer in a coconut bikini,
A Stanford cheerleader, and
Michael Jackson.
I made…
Adobe bricks at Sanchez Adobe,
An iMovie about Magellan,
A PowerPoint presentation about my family, and
Some really abstract artwork in J.K.
I have visited…
The Sanchez Adobe,
The Woodside Store,
The Monterey Bay Aquarium,
The Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
I will always remember…
Talking with my friends,
Taking home Curious George,
Planting flowers and vegetables in the garden, and
Hiking to the top of Nevada Falls.
I would like to thank…
Mr. Perry for helping us with the computers,
The Chaplains for teaching us about Jesus,
Our teachers for teaching us everything else, and
Mrs. Menacho for being a great principal.
I hope…
To preserve nature,
To keep the environment clean,
To have a great future, and
To become a professional baseball player.
