Steps for Applying
All applicants, ECP through Grade 5:
Step 1 – Inquire:
We will send you an application folder with program and application information. You will be added to our Admission database, which allows us to track your admission progress and send you reminders. You may inquire online

Step 2 – RSVP for a Tour:
Spending time on campus and in our classrooms is the best way to experience the spirit of Trinity School and begin to understand the learning that happens here. RSVP online or by contacting our admission office at admissionREMOVETHISBEFORESENDING@trinity-mp.org or 650-854-0288 x100.
Step 3 – Submit an Application:
The application deadline for Fall 2012 is January 20, 2012. You must meet the application deadline to be considered in the first round of admission decisions. You may apply online.
Step 4 – Meet with the Head of School:
After you submit your application we will contact you to set up a 30-minute meeting with the Head of School.
ECP 3 and ECP 4 Applicants only:
Step 5 – Attend a playgroup:
After you submit your application we will contact you to set up a playgroup for your child. All playgroups are held on weekdays at our Lower Campus from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.
ECP Junior Kindergarten (ECP JK) and Kindergarten Applicants:
Step 5 – Request Student Evaluation Form:
We require your child’s current teacher to provide feedback on the Student Evaluation Form for Grades PreK-1. You must complete the top portion of the form and give it to your child’s teacher. Please provide the teacher the address information for the admission office of the school to which you are applying.
Step 6 – Attend a playgroup:
Applicants attend a 45-minute playgroup, guided by a teacher and attended only by applicants. After you submit your application we will contact you to schedule an ECP JK or Kindergarten playgroup time.
Step 7 – Schedule an evaluation:
Your child will spend approximately 45 minutes in an evaluation with a Trinity School teacher. Your child will play a series of school games that are intended to measure certain readiness skills, including: fine and gross motor skills, number and letter concepts, and auditory and visual processing. After you submit your application we will contact you to schedule an evaluation for your child.
Grade 1 through Grade 5 Applicants:
Step 5 – Request Student Evaluation Form:
We require your child’s current teacher to provide feedback on the applicable Student Evaluation Form, for either Grades PreK- or Grades 2-8. You must complete the top portion of the form and give it to your child’s teacher. Please provide the teacher the address information for the admission office of the school to which you are applying.
Step 6 – Schedule a visit:
Your child will visit for one or two days. During her or his visit we will conduct an evaluation that measures your child’s learning in math, reading, written language, and oral language. After you submit your application we will contact you to schedule a visit for your child.
Age Requirements
ECP 3-4: Children must turn three years old by December 1.
ECP Junior Kindergarten: Children must turn five years old by December 31.
Kindergarten: Children must turn five years old by September 1.
Children admitted to Trinity School as three year olds matriculate to subsequent grades as long as the School is the appropriate placement for the child and family. Therefore, prospective parents are strongly encouraged to visit the Upper Campus as well as the Lower Campus when evaluating the program.
