Nancy’s Mission:
Nancy provides a comfortable environment for students, where friendship and collaboration are important and where the innate curiosity of the child is the primary tool for learning.
The experience that informs Nancy’s teaching:
Nancy ran a family daycare facility in her home. She worked with a diverse community of children and families and learned through experience to respect the needs and expectations each family valued.
Curious to learn how her knowledge and experience with children compared to research on child development, she pursued an education in Early Childhood Education. Her ideas and strategies were validated, though she modified some. She answered her calling as a teacher.
Nancy finds energy in teaching young children. They remind her to be curious at the wonders of the world. Children don’t waste time waiting for tomorrow. They turn around, and the next moment is another new opportunity. She strives to be there at each of their turnings.
