Capital Campaigns

Up one level

"The landscape of the imagination knows no boundaries."

Periodically a short-term fund raising program is planned to raise funds for a specific, major improvement to facilities.  Over the past four decades, St. Bede’s Church and Trinity School have mounted successful capital campaigns that resulted in the construction of the main Classroom Building, the Great Hall, the School Office and Library, and the remarkable outdoor learning environment constructed as part of Project LEAF.  Most recently, Holy Trinity Church mounted a successful campaign that resulted in the construction of new state-of-the-art facilities and play areas for the Early Childhood Program. Our deepest thanks to the Trinity parents and other friends whose generosity and enthusiasm made each of these phases of growth possible.

FULLFILLING THE VISION

The legacy of a Trinity education is a curious mind and a discerning heart.  Graduates of Trinity School excel academically and are accepted to the most academically-challenging middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities in the country.  But these scholars carry something deep within that separates them from other students with strong academic backgrounds.  Trinity School graduates forge new paths of care and concern for the world and its citizens around them. They become active participants in their community and in their lives.  A Trinity School graduate is not a passive spectator. He or she is a leader igniting the flames of change and progress.

Trinity School teaches to the child’s individual potential as well as the potential of the group as a whole.  In order to help each child fulfill that potential, Trinity School incorporates new technologies, new and successful instructional methods, and adapts teaching styles and curricular elements.   Trinity School has been able to retain personnel who have adapted their instruction to the limits of our physical space.

To retain stellar personnel who can make the ordinary extraordinary, to continue graduating students who become dynamic civic and business contributors and leaders, to provide our curricular program with space that realizes its full potential, to continue to fulfill our mission of giving each child a voice, and to retain our pertinence among the most selective middle school programs, Trinity School must realize our Strategic Plan that addresses areas of growth and challenge for the School:

Ø       School Culture and Program

Attend to the strength of our institutional resources which include personnel, students, curriculum, families, processes, and time.

Ø       School Community

          Implement an enhanced communication program.

Enhance the school/church relationship through communication and joint programs.

Ø       Finance and Development

Cultivate a philosophy of giving within the School community.

Maintain financial equilibrium through the budgeting process.

Ø       Facilities

Implement the facilities master plan on the St. Bede’s Campus, fulfilling the vision developed in the 1970s and reiterated in 1995 and again in 2000.

To address the needs of our Strategic Plan, Trinity School is committed to improving facilities on the St. Bede’s Campus by issuing a tax-exempt bond to cover hard costs related to the construction of the new Trinity School Learning Center.

Unrestricted gifts to the $3 Million Fulfilling the Vision Campaign will allow the Board of Trustees to use the cumulative philanthropic investment of campaign supporters to alleviate the debt service related to the issuance of the tax-exempt bond, cover “soft costs” related to the Learning Center, fortify Trinity School’s financial position, and ensure long-term organizational strength. Generations of Trinity School students will reap the benefits of our community’s philanthropic investment.

To provide for our future leaders, our future entrepreneurs, and our future socially-conscious visionaries, Trinity School must offer state-of-the-art facilities, financial assistance, superior faculty and staff, and a stellar faith-based, service-learning curriculum of academic fervor, awakened imagination, and personal responsibility.  By coming together to support the construction of the new Learning Center and ensure that the Fulfilling the Vision Campaign meets its $3M goal,  our community allows Trinity School to further its mission and continue to educate generations of curious minds and discerning hearts.

William Shakespeare wrote:

There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures!

That tide for Trinity School is today.

The time has come for Fulfilling the Vision.
