Why Trinity?

Trinity School, established in 1961, embodies and brings to life the highest standards for developing critical thinking and value formation in children.
Our faculty ushers the child’s intellectual and spiritual growth through a rigorous curriculum that is carefully crafted to empower students to think, believe, and act. The small size of the School, with one class per grade, means that each child in the community is well known and has an important role that grows over time. As an Episcopal school, Trinity School is rooted in a tradition that values cultivation of the mind, spiritual inquiry, diversity, and service.
Our program philosophies articulate our goals for the children we teach:
Early Childhood (Preschool) Philosophy
The child arrives curious. Ready. The parent stands behind the child desiring and supporting a caring school where academic formation and character development seem like child’s play. The teacher, a professional learner, calls the children to form a class. And there the teacher, who learns the heart of each child, whispers, “Grow!”
Trinity School’s Preschool program, which we refer to as our Early Childhood Program (ECP), encourages learning and discovery for children age three to five through intentional relationships among people, materials, and ideas.
Elementary School Program Philosophy
We give each child a voice. We guide children to self-discovery. We celebrate the child’s growth in critical thinking, character development, and social responsibility. We foster rigorous academics grounded in child-centered content. The legacy of a Trinity education is a curious mind and a discerning heart.
We send children to middle school empowered with three words: Think. Believe. Act.
