Music
On the Upper Campus, Junior Kindergarten through Grade 5 receive weekly instruction. Students learn about beat through songs, dances, and games, and about notation through choral music and simple instruments. Students also perform, listen to, and analyze the great music of the world. The program goal is for students to achieve choral musical skills with underpinnings of basic music theory. With singing and movement as the most important instruments, students develop a love of music and performance.
Advent Lessons and Carols in December and the musical performance at the spring SMART Night showcase the students’ class and individual accomplishments.
