Campus Life

Summer at Trinity

WHO

Trinity School's exciting summer option offers a one-of-a-kind camp experience to both Trinity students and non-students alike.

WHEN

Registered students can spend the entire day at Trinity, from 9 am to 2 pm, with extended care available until 3:30 pm at no extra cost.

WHAT

Students will engage in simulations centered around themes such as Water Day, Slime Day, and Olympics Day. Our campers will be divided into age groups based on their school level: kindergarten and rising kindergarteners, second and third graders, and fourth and fifth graders. While students will work on their projects within their respective age groups, they will all come together for our daily theme activities, including a weekly talent show!

WHY

Students will have the opportunity to connect with new friends from different grade levels, explore the beautiful Trinity campus, and engage with our very own Trinity educators - yes, you read that right! Our teachers will be supervising the summer camp. Be sure to check out the simulations and sample daily schedule.

  • June 19 - 23: Trinity Restaurant on Sand Hill

This week, students will have the opportunity to create their restaurant called Trinity Restaurant on Sand Hill. During this camp week, students will have the exciting opportunity to create their very own restaurant! This project will involve menu development, cooking, marketing, designing, and budgeting for the restaurant's overhead costs. To support this, students will receive MindWorks Bucks to spend on their restaurant expenses.

The dessert section of the restaurant will be handled by our Kinder group, while students in grades 2-4 will be responsible for drinks and appetizers. Finally, students in grades 5-6 will create the main entrees. On Friday, all the students will come together for a progressive meal to enjoy the ambiance and food from each other's creations.

In addition to the restaurant project, we have daily themes such as Water Day, Crafty Day, Slime Day, Olympics, Color Day, and Talent Show that will be happening simultaneously. Every afternoon, students can choose from three different activities during 'Open Workshops.' These workshops allow campers to interact with their peers outside their age groupings and will consist of various activities offered by surprise guest Trinity Teachers and camp staff. Some activities include scavenger hunts, science experiments, painting, and more!

  • June 26 - 30: Make Your Own YouTube Channel

Campers will be excited to create YouTube channels using various mediums like stop motion, live acting, and animation. Our Kinder group will work together in teams to create informative episodes on a topic of their choice using drawing and live acting. Meanwhile, older students can choose their preferred medium, create scripts, study other channels, and edit their episodes.

We will come together on Friday to present and share our episodes. Alongside the YouTube project, we have daily themes such as water day, crafty day, slime day, Olympics, color day, and a Talent Show happening simultaneously.

Moreover, each afternoon, students can choose from three activities during 'Open Workshops.' These workshops provide opportunities for campers to interact with their peers outside their age groupings and offer a variety of activities led by surprise guest Trinity Teachers and camp staff, including scavenger hunts, science experiments, painting, and more. • July 10 - 14: Trinity Arcade

Inspired by Caine's Arcade, students will use recycled materials and Legos to create their arcade games! We will use an inquiry model throughout the week to explore and refine our games. We will enjoy our arcade on Friday with games like ski ball, pinball, and more. Students will also be able to create a marble run and domino fall.

Concurrently, we will have themes such as Water Day, Very Crafty Day, Slime Day, Olympics, Color Day, and Talent Show. Each afternoon, students can choose from three different activities during 'Open Workshops.'
