July: Update Regarding the BA.5 Variant

Dear Trinity Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  We’re about 4 weeks away from the faculty returning for our Summer Institute (faculty and staff professional development) so the pace is accelerating around here.  It’s exciting to be in the midst of planning for your children in 2022 – 2023.

I wanted to get a quick note out to you regarding the BA.5 variant of Covid 19.  We’re tracking the developments closely and will communicate our protocols the week of August 15.  As we learn more and the scenario becomes more clear, we will consult with our sources and guides:  The CDC, California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the San Mateo County Health Department (SMCHD).  All three agencies have school guidelines.  We are also in contact with other local independent schools.  Here’s an article you might find helpful:  NPR on BA.5.  For additional information on Trinity’s Covid response over time, please visit Trinity Website on Covid-19.

As always, my door is open if you have any questions.  I look forward to catching up with you soon.

Matt
